June 1, the first night out on our westbound 2021 Cross Country Adventure. At about 5:30 PM, I called the Yonah Mountain Campground to see if they had available space.
While we were visiting President Ronald Reagan’s childhood home in Dixon, Illinois our enthusiastic host recommended we visit the nearby John Deere Historic Site.
On Friday, October 16, we were cruising along on I-40 when I realized it was time to gas up. It had been some time since we’d seen a gas sign. I pulled off at the next exit.
In 1970, Ralph appointed me General Manager of the entire Detroit operation, including the five course directors, administrative staff, and, indirectly, dozens of the five course instructors.
This past week on our trip to southwest Georgia, we visited Andersonville, GA, and the remains of the infamous Andersonville Prison, also known as Camp Sumter. When we drove into Andersonville, we were struck by the obelisk in the middle of Main Street erected in memory of Capt. Henry Wirz.
Being an instructor of the Sales Course required about the same amount of time I’d devoted to being an Instructor’s Assistant. My routine didn’t change much either. I continued selling the Sales Course during the day and teaching it in the evenings.
In addition to a full work week, I was studying on the weekends preparing to attend the Sales Course Instructor Training Conference. I was required to memorize 36 human relations principles, dozens of term definitions.
